We coordinate and lead the efforts of the premier commercial satellite communications capability providers to the Department of Defense including Eutelsat, Hughes Government, Inmarsat, Intelsat, SES, and XTAR to advocate their shared views for improved acquisition, delivery, resilience, and security. We have worked collaboratively with Members of Congress, Executive Branch officials, military leaders, and other government officials to encourage better use of key commercial capabilities in the support of national security. We have recommended budget, policy, and programmatic evolutions to ensure that SATCOM capabilities remain available for use globally where and when required to support the United States and its allies.
