As a Satellite Industry leader, Alexander has worked in various rolls throughout the COMSATCOM industry to include leadership positions within the DoD focused vendors for 10 years as well as 15 years servicing the Government and commercial satellite service market throughout Eastern Europe, the CIS region, the Middle East and Africa.
Within his previous DoD / COMSATCOM positions, to include VP of Solution Design and Capture at Airbus Defense and Space, Alexander guided the company’s resources in response to a variety of DoD satellite based programs and requirements including both commercial FSS and MSS operators and hardened x-band and UHF requirements. Within his 5-year commitment to ARTEL, Alexander was a member of a small team of engineers and Program Managers overseeing the design, deployment and operations of $1.5 Billion in delivered satellite services to the DoD. These services covered the full range of requirements including UAV BLOS communications, tactical network design and deployment as well as managing up to 6.0 GHz of space segment and satellite services for the DoD, making up a sizable portion of DISA’s reported 7.4 GHz of total industry commercial leases. Alexander has a broad knowledge of baseband hardware, commercial and Government teleport infrastructure as well as the overall commercial satellite market. Alexander holds a BS degree in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Manitoba.
